Footnotes

1. In 1989, RARS set a Class 7A-Battery record with 11,215 points. That record stood until 2006, when it was shattered by the New Mexico Field Day Coalition with 16,165 points. See the ARRL QST article with the 2006 Field Day results here (and search for "7A Battery").
2. The ARRL makes scores from 2000 onward available on its Field Day website. Scores are usually posted online in November and published in the December QST.
3. N4RAL was misprinted as W4RAL.
4. In 2020 and 2021, the ARRL modified the rules to allow club members to operate from their homes and aggregate their scores for a club score. There was no separate class for the club.
5. In 2022, Jim N4CAE and Beth KF4QMR Carroll sold the farm at which they had been gracious hosts of RARS Field Day for many, many years.
6. In 2024, RARS achieved its highest score ever.
