How To Join or Renew Your RARS Membership

Thinking about joining RARS? Great! It's easy to join. We're not exclusive, and you join by simply sending in the application and dues. There's no sponsorship required, and new members are not "voted in." Anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio can join, but voting membership is reserved for licensed Amateurs only.

If you don't have a credit card, can't make a meeting soon, and the download isn't working, just drop an e-mail or phone call to the RARS Treasurer, and ask for a membership application via US mail.

New Members - To pay via US mail with a check: The RARS Application form is available here in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. You can also pre-fill this form and bring it to a club meeting to pay. Here's what to do:

1. Download the PDF form.   (Requires Adobe Reader - download it here.)
2. Open it in Adobe Reader.    (It may open automatically when downloaded.)
3. Calculate you dues.
   (Note: You can pay for multiple years.)
4. Fill out the form and mail it with your check made payable to RARS for dues to the RARS Treasurer. The mailing address for the current treasurer is on the form.
   (Note: The form allows you to type information into the form as well as save it.)

Dues are $18/year for licensed members age 17 to 59. The membership year is July 1 to June 30 and dues are pro-rated for new members depending on the month you join (that's $1.50/month from whenever it is now until June).

Dues are $12/year for seniors (60 and over) and youth (16 and under). The membership year is July 1 to June 30 and dues are pro-rated for new members depending on the month you join (that's $1.00/month from whenever it is now until June).

Dues are $9/year for non-licensed "Associate" members. The membership year is July 1 to June 30 and dues are pro-rated for new members depending on the month you join (that's $0.75/month from whenever it is now until June.).

Regular Membership $18/year, Reduced Membership $12/year (60 and over) or (16 and under), $9/year Associate Membership for non-licensed members, $5/year for each additional family member

To Renew your membership via US mail with a check: Update your data on-line, and send a check made payable to RARS for your dues:

1. Update your data on-lne by accessing your Member Profile via the Member's Only page.
2. Calculate you dues.
   (Note: You can pay for multiple years.)
3. Mail your check made payable to RARS to the RARS Treasurer. The mailing address is RARS, c/o Greg Seamster, 1405 Leanne Court, Raleigh, NC 27606.
   (Note: A membership form is not needed unless you need the Treasurer to update your member profile.)
